オーストラリアの農家が「世界一」の唐辛子をつくった。素手で触ると、２日間は手がヒリヒリするほどの激辛で、調理にはマスクを含めた防護服が必要という。

　メキシコの代表的な青唐辛子「ハラペーニョ」が辛さの指標となるスコビル値で２７５０なのに対し、この唐辛子は１４６万３７００といい、世界記録の認定を申請中。
